aslice is a fantastic project founded by the famous DJ - DVS1

His vision was to create a resource that makes it possible for DJs to tip producers.

Simple, right?

The project involved two native clients (one for Mac and one for Windows) that feed into an online database which then powers the website that services the DJs, the Producers, and the audience.

Obviously, there’s a custom CMS to maintain the whole thing, a hugely complex international payment scheme, and to top it all off there’s a bunch of Machine Learning to help sort out who is who and where all the tips should actually go!

Not so simple after all.
